Jean Fitzgerald uses paint to organize and understand space. Most work is made using oil on wood. 
The content of
the paintings range from buildings and interior rooms to figures
surrounding Jean's environment. Images are usually created from direct
observation with the belief that everything you need is at hand if you
are willing to look hard enough.Other creative endeavors include custom-designed murals for both residential and public settings. Jean works with individuals, families, schools, and other organizations to create meaningful spaces. Some work is available for purchase and other painting requests are welcome. Jean received a B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Michigan in 2004. She now resides in her hometown, Chicago.
